Tax law is sexy

I don’t think the writer of this blog is a lawyer; nevertheless, he makes a somewhat obscure tax-centric query:  if celebrities such as Angelina Jolie hide their pregnancies until they can sell the exclusive rights to photos — if even for charity — are there tax consequences?  I’ll let you read the answer on The Laboratorium yourself if you really care.  Much more important, however, is the inspiration provided by the connection between up-to-the-minute celebrity gossip and tax law in the same post!  I was going to guest-post on this for one of my favorite blogs, but instead decided to stop a year’s worth of procrastinating and start my own:   a little media commentary and legal insight, lots of homage to celebrity bloggers, and hopefully even some personal reflection on the life of an almost-lawyer and fledgling mother (with a book-deal to follow shortly, no?)  Enjoy.
