1:29 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2010. 8 pounds even. One week before his due date. My water broke early Monday morning, but things didn’t really get under way until Monday evening and a few hours later, as Monday turned to Tuesday, he was here. Little O, we’ll call him in this space.

A week later, fattened up a bit.
